INTERVIEW PREPARATION
If you have applied for a visa, you need to stay prepared for an interview at the time of visa processing.
IMMIGRATION INTERVIEW
If you have applied for a student visa or tourist visa, chances are the embassy will interview you. These interviews take place at the time of visa processing. The purpose of the interview is to understand your intention of going abroad and to check the authenticity of your visa application. If you are not able to articulate the reasons why you will be going abroad, you may fail in getting a visa. As visa applications are received in large volume, all consular officers are under immense time pressure to conduct a quick and efficient interview. They must decide, for the most part, on the impressions they form during the first minute or two of the interviews. Consequently, what you say in your interview and the initial impression you create are critical to your success. Your interview is the only chance to express yourself, and your dreams of going abroad heavily depend upon it. Therefore, it is essential to prepare beforehand for the immigration interview questions.

Some Useful Interview Tips From Our Visa Experts in Mohali :
- Arrive 10-15 minutes before the interview
- Leave a lasting first impression by dressing smartly
- Prepare a list of common questions. Practice them with your friend or family
- Don’t be nervous. If you have prepared well, you will not feel nervous
- Never memorize a speech for your interview. Answer Visa interviewers in your own words
- Bring all the relevant documentation neatly arranged in a folder
What to Bring to the Interview?
If you forget to bring essential documents to your interview, the consular officer will not be able to complete the processing of your visa. Failure to bring all required documents to the interview may cause delay or denial of the visa. You are responsible for obtaining all required original or photocopies of essential documents. You must bring the following documents to your interview:
- Your appointment letter
- Passport valid for six months beyond the intended date of entry into your desired country
- Two identical colour photographs
- Photocopy of your visa and other important documents
- Some embassies or consulates might ask for your official school transcripts or diploma and degree you have received
